When you purchase a Postal Vault you receive a one-year membership to the Identity Theft Awareness and Assistance Program (ITAAP). ITAAP is provided by Identity Safeguards, the leading provider of identity theft protection and recovery services.
There are three basic components to the Identity Theft Awareness and Assistance Program:
- An online membership community that provides you with unique educational material, such as special reports, fraud reports that profile real-time criminals and the crimes they perpetrate, as well as a personalized protection plan.
- An Automated recovery kit with 30-minutes of recovery consultation if you do become victimized.
- Discounts on personal protection products including enhanced protection and recovery services like credit monitoring and complete recovery.
How do I use ITAAP?
Retrieve your ITAAP membership card from the Postal Vault you recently purchased and log into www.itaap.com/PostalVault using the “Participant ID” and “Password” located on the front of your card. You will be asked to setup a personal account in order to enable customized features.
If you are a member of ITAAP and believe you are a victim of identity theft, log into the site and click on “Report Theft Event.”
*If you own a Postal Vault ® : you can go to www.itaap.com/Postal Vault ® and enter the password that is on your ITAAP card.
