Postal Vault ® is a privately-owned, WBE (Woman-owned Business Enterprise) which is based in historic downtown Fort Worth. The company manufactures, sells, and distributes postal and delivery receptacles designed to protect and secure mail and parcel packages. Postal Vault ® is founded on Christian values and is very involved in the Dallas-Fort Worth community.

HISTORY

Postal Vault ® has its roots dating back to the Spring of '99 when Jim Cox discovered an unusual mailbox in a garage collecting dust. He took that mailbox and along with his wife, Bobbie, began to redesign and refine the mailbox with the help of some former Lockheed engineers and a 'vision' to change the way people get their mail.

The original styles were designed primarily for convenience since they allowed the homeowner to retrieve the mail in the traditional fashion-at the top of the unit, but through a patented trap door system and a key mechanism placed on the side of the mailbox, the trap door could be triggered causing the trap door to fall down. When the carrier delivered the mail, the mail would now fall straight to the bottom of the unit where it could be retrieved from a front or rear retrieval door thus saving the homeowner the trouble and inconvenience of having to stop, start, and retrieve the mail at the Post Office when traveling, or inconveniencing a neighbor or relative to have to pick up the mail each and every day. In addition, the units were made from 18 gauge steel and designed with a square rectangular look to fend off most baseball bat attacks by vandals. Once the design had been completed a name search for a web site began and ultimately, the name 'Postal Vault ® ' was decided upon.

Unfortunately, Mr. Cox passed away in the Fall of '99. After losing both her father, Bob Weber, a self made entrepreneur and former bass singer for the Oakridge Quartet (now The Oakridge Boys), and her husband, Bobbie Cox decided to turn the grief of losing both her husband and her father into a positive influence by getting up each and every day and making a difference in the world.

With Postal Vault's ® being sold all over America and helping prevent would-be identity thieves from stealing your mail and your identity, and with numerous models to choose from, 'Bobbie' as she prefers to be called, is making a difference and making sure that everyone knows that it was her faith and trust in The Lord that has made Postal Vault ® the brand it is today.
